Housebound people in Slough benefit from a mobile library service delivered by GTV under contract and supported by a group of enthusiastic local volunteers.
The service supplies each customer with the books, CDs or audio books of their choice each month. As well as advice on reading and listening materials, GTV's staff and volunteers also provide an invaluable befriending service.
If the demand is there and funding allows, GTV may add value to the service by teaching customers how to read books online, increase font sizes and even set up a virtual reading club.
