Heathrow airport and the transport corridors around it have a major impact on the local environment in terms of employment, skills, transport and pollution. We work with people across the London boroughs of Hillingdon and Hounslow to build stronger communities, help address local environmental issues and build prosperity through sustainable development.
We focus on supporting people in the areas of greatest need and many communities around the airport fall into this category. The Mayor's London Plan recognises the Heathrow corridor as one of three strategic regeneration corridors, as well as an area of economic opportunity.
Through practical action in partnership with local communities, Hillingdon and Hounslow local authorities, businesses and health and education agencies, we deliver services and improvements for the local area. A number of our programmes tackle London-wide issues, whilst some focus on the specific needs of a particular area.
