Role:
Groundwork Thames Valley exists to make a difference to people’s lives both in the community and in their local surroundings. The Com.Café provides a greatly needed facility on the Glebe Estate in West Drayton. It is a centre where all members of the community can come together for a variety of different activities. The invaluable support of local volunteers has allowed the Café to realise its potential and become a landmark within the community. The centre - part IT resource and part restaurant -offers an on-line computer suite, training and computer courses for all ages.
We require an experienced and reliable volunteer to help and assist during the after school period. The café is open for children to access the computers for free after school, the role would include signing children on to the computer, providing activities and assisting with their computer queries.
Requirements:
·         Experience of dealing with children, preferably in a learning or play environment.
·         Some experience of dealing with computers and the internet.
·         Enthusiasm and commitment to serve a lively community.
·         A CRB check will be required for this post.
