Communities

Building stronger neighbourhoods

We make a long-term commitment to supporting neighbourhoods that are considered to be disadvantaged.  We work closely alongside other organisations and existing initiatives to help improve the quality of life for people living there. We provide training and support to help people get more involved in making decisions about where they live and to understand the benefits that sustainable development can bring.

We help people improve the appearance of their streets, parks and housing estates, but also encourage them to lead more active lives, get to know other people in their area or work with their neighbours to reduce anti-social behaviour and the fear of crime.

The Com.Cafe provides a much-needed facility on the Glebe Estate in West Drayton.  It is a centre where all members of the community can come together for a variety of different activities. The centre - part IT resource and part cafe - offers an on-line computer suite, training and computer courses for all ages. For more information, please contact us.

Healing Gardens.  Teams of volunteers help people with long term health problems or disabilites by modifying their gardens for access and easy maintenance.  This work, and monthly outings for beneficiaries, make a real difference to people’s wellbeing and quality of life.  For more information, please contact us.
