Learning
outside the classroom has long been recognised as a beneficial and
stimulating activity for students of all age and ability. A
2008 report from Ofsted says that, ‘When planned and
implemented well, learning outside the classroom contributes
significantly to raising standards and improving pupils’
personal, social and emotional development’.
At Groundwork Learning, we have been delivering inspirational
activities outside the classroom for over 18 years. Delivered
by our professional education team, which includes qualified and
experienced teachers, all our activities are linked to the National
Curriculum and address key learning objectives.
We have a range of alternatives which are described below, and
also run and facilitate activities in school grounds, local parks,
or in a range of locations that will inspire young people to
explore their local environment and open up a whole new learning
dimension.
