Healing Gardens
We offer people with severe and long term health problems
the opportunity to rediscover and find new enjoyment in life
through their gardens. We work on people's own gardens to make them
more manageable and accessible. We have a long waiting list of
people who need our help so we urgently need new volunteers to help
establish the project as a self-financing support group in the
local community.
What we need
People to help:
- with practical gardening projects
- with publicity
- lead a team of others
- manage the project, and
- with social activities.
Materials:
- bricks
- paving slabs
- timber
- topsoil/compost
- garden Tools (in good condition)
You can:
- make a real difference to people's lives
- share your skills and learn new ones
- join in with our talks, outings and workshops, and
- make new friends.
