We work to bring together local people, government, business
and other organisations to change places and change lives in areas
of greatest need across the West London, Heathrow and Thames Valley
area.
Some of our programmes are:
Iver Nature Study Centre is a wildlife garden with different habitats in Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire. Anyone can use the facilities or take part in organised activities for educational, environmental or therapeutic purposes. Frequent visitors include families, school-groups and people with special needs.
The Colne Valley Park is the nearest ‘proper countryside’ to West London. Close by Jn 1 of the M40, it is a mosaic of farmland, woodland and water, with fifty miles of river and canal and over forty lakes. Visit it to enjoy the walks and wildlife – or just for tea and cakes in the café!
Healing
Gardens. Teams of volunteers
help people with long term health problems or disabilites by
modifying their gardens for access and easy maintenance. This
work, and monthly outings for beneficiaries, make a real
difference to people’s wellbeing and quality of life.
The Com.Cafe provides a
much-needed facility on the Glebe Estate in West Drayton. It
is a centre where all members of the community can come together
for a variety of different activities. The centre - part IT
resource and part cafe - offers an on-line computer suite, training
and computer courses for all ages.
