Leaving a gift to
Groundwork in your will is a wonderful way to continue your support
for community and environmental regeneration into the
future. By leaving a gift to Groundwork, you can also
reduce inheritance-tax liability on your estate, because legacies
to a registered charity are tax-free.
When making your will, we would advise you to get in touch with a
solicitor to help you. If you need help in finding a solicitor, you
could contact:
The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners on
0207 8384885 or www.step.org
If you are writing your own will and wish to leave us a sum of
money, we suggest that you include the following wording:
“I give to Groundwork Thames Valley (registered charity
number 293705), Colne Valley Park Centre, Denham Court Drive,
Denham Uxbridge, UB9 5PG, the sum of ... [amount in figures and
words] to be used for its general charitable purposes and I direct
that the receipt of the treasurer or duly authorised officer shall
be a valid and appropriate form of discharge.
