standard for commitment to environmmental policy.

The Trust sets itself a series of environmental targets and Key
Performance Indicators.
Environmental Objectives:
- To achieve a recognised industry standard as a measure of our
commitment to environmental policy
- To improve the positive environmental impacts and minimise
negative impacts of Groundwork Thames Valley’s (GTV)
operations in order to improve GTV’s
reputation
- To put into place a fully operational environmental management
policy and system with backing from all staff
- To increase business efficiency and provide a competitive edge,
e.g. to support GTV’s funding bids
- Maximise potential cost savings as waste, water, transport and
energy bills are reduced.

Targets 2010
- Paper consumption and usage
Target successfully to maintain 2009 level of paper
consumption of 282 reams.
- Volume of Mixed Recyclable Waste
collected
Target to maintain successfully the Mixed Recyclable and General
Waste ratio at 73:27
- Gas and electricity meter readings taken on a monthly
basis
Target to maintain successfuly 2009's gas consumption of 50,844
kwh
Target to reduce electricity consumption by 5% i.e. 2,103 kwh to
39,963 kwh
- Quantity of junk mail and packaging received and
frequency of regular purchase orders
As a new KPI in 2009 no target was set. Volumes were
assessed and reviewed in 2010.
