Jenny Bradley

Jenny Bradley has been Chairman of GTV since December 2007 and a Board member for several years before that .
 

She has directed the function of corporate communications for two major international quoted businesses in the UK, BAA and Dairy Crest.  At BAA, Jenny was a member of the charitable donations committee of the BAA plc board; a board director of Heathrow Airport Ltd; a board member of Stansted Airport Ltd; a member of the BAA’s Group Airports Board and of the company’s Sustainable Development Board.  She retired from full time work in 2003.
 

Jenny is a member of IPR and IABC, with awards from both organisations.


John Kennedy

John Kennedy joined the GTV Board in the last century as the representative of South Bucks District Council. He served as GTV Chairman until December 2007.

He is a founder member and Trustee of Blue Sky RD and a Trustee of West London Floating Classroom.  He is also Chairman of Padstones Housing, a charity providing accommodation and 24 hour support for homeless young people in the Thames Valley.

John is also a member of Taplow Parish Council, a donation governor of Christ's Hospital, a freeman of the City of London and a liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Fan Makers.

For relaxation he plays golf and enjoys swimming, reading, films, music and holidays! 

Rob Morley

Rob Morley is Vice-Chairman of Groundwork Thames Valley. He is a former Trustee of the Groundwork Federation.

After a career with agricultural and construction equipment manufacturer International Harvester, Rob  joined the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers(BTCV) where he was Cheif Executive from 1987 to 1993 before embrarking on various assignments and independent consultancy work until his retirement. 

He has been a Member of the Council of the National Trust since 2001, being elected Senior Member in 2010. He is a Chairman of the  National Trust's London & South East Advisory Board and chairs the Nominations Committee for the appointment of trustees. 

He is also a trustee of the Land Trust and the Stowe House  Preservation Trust.

He is a former Vice-Chairman of his local Parish Council and is currently Secretary of his local Parochial Church Council. He has previously served on the Board of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations, as a member of the Council for National Parks, and was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in 1992.

Hugh Somerville

Hugh Somerville joined GTV's Board in 1995 when he was working for British Airways (BA). He retired from BA in 2002 but remains active in aviation and tourism. In 2007 he became Chair of the Board of West London Floating Classroom. Hugh is passionate about the delivery of high quality environmental education and strongly supports GTV to deliver high quality and lasting environmental programmes.

Hugh's main active interest is working to help reduce our impact on the climate.
 

Sarah Graham

Sarah Graham has been a GTV Board member since May 2005 and was the Chair of the Blue Sky Board up until April 2009.


Before that, she was a Senior Civil Servant at the heart of Government working on a variety of roles, including at No.10 as a director in the Prime Minister’s Strategy Unit. She also has experience as a free-lance business strategy consultant and as an adviser to ACEVO (the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations) on strategy around crime reduction.

Sarah recently returned to academic study and has just been awarded a Masters’ degree from Oxford University in Classical Archaeology.  She lives in Oxford and Somerset with her teenage son and black Labrador, Magic.


Bruce Allen

Bruce Allen is chairman of the Colne Valley Regional Park. He has been County Councillor for Buckinghamshire County Council since 1997.  He serves as Chairman of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee for Adult Services and is a member of the following committees: the Buckinghamshire Admissions Forum (Chairman), County Council Development Control Committee, Governance Panel, Joint Advisory and Consultative Group (Schools) and the Overview & Scrutiny Committee for Children's Services.

Dermot Clancy

Dermot Clancy is Joint Managing Director, The Clancy Group Plc, Clancy Docwra Limited, Clancy Plant Limited & Clancy Developments Limited.
 

Dermot joined the family business in 1970 and became Joint Managing Director at the age of 32, with brother Kevin, in 1984 following the death of his father, founder Michael J.Clancy.

 

During their tenure the Clancy Group business – through Clancy Docwra Ltd, Clancy Developments Ltd & Clancy Plant Ltd - has grown from £2million to over £200 million annual turnover. . He is a Governor of the Beacon School and a Director of the Thames Valley Groundworks Trust.

 

Outside work, his interests include golfer and horseman. As a shareholder he also maintains an interest in London Irish Rugby Club

 

Peter Hinde

Peter Hinde joined the Board in 1990, soon after retiring from the Beecham Group.  His last job at Beechams was HR Director for their worldwide pharmaceutical business.  In retirement, apart from GTV, he has been an active volunteer with the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust, Royal Society for Nature Conservation, Country Land and Business Association, Oxford Diocesan Glebe Committee and the Chilterns Chalk Streams Project. 

In 1976, he and his wife bought a small fruit fam in Iver, and farm labouring is now his day job.
 

George Cooper

George Cooper,  retired Post Office employee. During  the time with Royal Mail Group he was mainly employed within its Human Resources section. Currently he is  a Local Councillor and have represented the Uxbridge North Ward for over twenty two years.  He lived in Hillingdon all his life, some sixty-five years. 

 

Outside work, his interests include  archaeology, walking, music, travel and politics.  His other interests include being a trustee of Ealing and Hillingdon C.A.B. He is  also a Governor of St. Mary’s Catholic Primary School and a member of the board of the Fassnidge Trust.

Alan Oxley

Alan Oxley

Council

Alan Oxley joined the GTV board as the South Bucks District Council representative in June 2003. 
 

He is a South Bucks Councillor for Iver and Richings Park and is Chair of their Overview and Scrutiny Committee. He was for 4 years a County Councillor for Iver and has been a Iver Parish Councillor since 1995 and was Parish Council Chairman for 4 years from 1999 to 2003.
 

He is now retired but originally trained as an electrical engineer at Imperial College, he changed discipline and was finally Head of Marketing for Scottish and Southern Energy. In this role he was a early member of the Energy Saving Trust and was also responsible for meeting  the energy efficiency obligations placed on SSE as a gas and electricity supplier.

Michael May, joined Groundwork as Executive Director in 2003, after a successful career in investment banking. He has held a number of senior positions, including Managing Director of NationsBank and GNI Fund Management.  Mick’s focus is now on ensuring the health and sustainability of Groundwork Thames Valley and its subsidiaries. He is CEO to Blue Sky Development & Regeneration which he conceived and established in 2004.  Since 2005 he has also been Chairman of the Thames Valley Partnership.

  

Outside work his interests include music, fishing and history.
